Field Marketing Manager

Location: Austin TX      

GetUpside is seeking a skilled and motivated Trade Show, Conference, and Event Manager to join our Sales team. In this position, the successful candidate will collaborate with key contacts, writers and designers to provide strategy, planning and coordination for a wide variety of external and internal audiences.

What will you do?

  • Manage strategic communications, researching, planning, and execution for tradeshows and corporate events; manage pre- and post-trade show marketing and communications to ensure integrated approach in communications techniques

  • Manage accurate budgeting and planning reports for external events

  • Manage payments and purchase requisitions for all tradeshows and sponsorships in Procurement software system

  • Lead all trade show planning meetings and provide strategic oversight for each trade show, aligning event marketing to company strategy

  • Manage all event logistics including venue selection, space configuration, booth production, production schedule, invitations, agenda, catering, A/V, speaker slides and materials, and marketing materials

  • Create and maintain event planning documents and presentations, to include production schedules; ensure adherence to production schedules by all planning teams and Corporate Communications

  • Coordinate and act as primary interface with all vendors such as trade show booth design companies, hotels, caterers, A/V vendors, and shipping POCs

  • Consult on the visual design of communications products to reflect the strategic message

  • Edit tradeshow marketing materials for accuracy, clarity, brevity, and logic

  • Assist with internal event planning

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and manage timeline to meet tight deadlines

What do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Hospitality

  • 3+ years’ experience in the development of trade show strategy, planning and logistics

  • Demonstrated management of detailed fiscal budgets for tradeshows and corporate events

  • Superior writing, editing and verbal communications skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • High-level organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter

  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously

  • Ability to travel 50% or more
